Manila Skillet started in 2016 as a food truck and pop-up restaurant in the Nashville, TN area. Our mission is to bring our delicious, Authentic Filipino cuisine to Oxford, Mississippi in the initial phase as catering only.
Traditional food from the Philippines is one of the varieties of Asian cuisine that’s missing from Oxford’s booming food scene. We strive to be the first and best quality Filipino restaurant to arrive in Oxford. With Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese restaurants all over the community, t’s about time we stepped up and offered this amazing new cuisine to the Oxford area!
Philippine Cuisine consists of the food preparation methods and eating customs found in the Philippines. The style of cooking and the food associated with it have evolved over many centuries from their Austronesian origin to mixed cuisine of Indian, Japanese, Malay, Chinese, Spanish, and American.
Filipino food may not be as famous as its other Asian counterparts such as its Thai and Vietnamese neighbors, but with more than 7,000 islands and colorful history, this archipelago has some delicious dishes of its own.
